About the Event
Welcome to MTG Commander Night, a relaxed Magic: The Gathering gaming event!
Commander is a multiplayer format that emphasizes creativity, interaction, and epic gameplay moments. Commander Night is intended for players of all levels—from beginners to seasoned veterans. The goal is a great atmosphere and fun games. Make sure to set aside enough time, as matches can often last quite a while.
What is Commander?
Commander is a Magic: The Gathering format where:

100-Card Decks: You play with a deck of exactly 100 cards. Every player must have their own deck (pre-constructed Commander decks are available for purchase in-store).

The Commander: Each player has one Legendary Creature (included in the 100 cards) that serves as the deck's Commander.

Multiplayer: Games are typically played with four players (though this can vary between 2–5 players depending on attendance).

Starting Life: 40 HP.

Strategy: Your Commander determines the colors and overall strategy of your deck.

Requirements: Players must bring their own deck.

Rules & Judging: There is no official judge on-site. Players resolve situations among themselves; in case of a dispute, the outcome is decided by a random roll (e.g., a die). Puolenkuun Pelit staff can be consulted, and we strive to have MTG experts on shift during events.

Entry Fee: 5 € (includes a 3 € player fee).

Prizes: Every player receives an MTG-themed product or surprise. Plus, honor and glory to the winners of each table!
